Mental Health Academy

Mental Health Academy is the outreach and programming arm of MHA of the MidSouth that provides Continuing Education (CEUs) curricula for therapists, social workers, attorneys, and other professionals whose work involves mental health awareness.

Mental Health Academy seeks to offer eight to ten such events a year, focusing on issues relevant to these various professional practitioners. These affordable programs will be held throughout Tennessee.

The programs, half or full days, are certified by the professional boards licensing the targeted professions and will generally provide three to six hours of CEU credit each. Speakers are chosen for their expertise in specific areas and their awareness of the current needs among the professions.

Check out our upcoming events in the calendar as speakers and dates are finalized. Seminars will be offered for various topics in Nashville, Memphis, and Murfreesboro. Here is what is in the works:

May 19, Justice and Mental Health, Nashville
June, Aging Conference, Chattanooga, Memphis and Nashville
August, Adolescent and Youth, Nashville
November, Mental Health Law, Memphis and Nashville
December, Professionalism and Ethics, Memphis and Murfreesboro
